Frequently Asked Questions About Our SMS Marketing Platform
Everything you need to know about MK TextBiz, our sms marketing software — features, pricing, integrations, sending limits and campaign management. Whether you're comparing plans or already using the sms campaign software, you'll find answers here on compliance, billing, and everyday campaign workflows.
MK TEXTBIZ provides an integrated Smart SMS and Lead Management platform that includes lead management, bulk SMS campaign automation, and centralized control through a single dashboard.
We offer 6 plans: Startup, Growth, Business, Pro, Premium, and Custom. Each plan includes SMS limits per month and contact capacity, with higher plans offering larger messaging volume and additional features like rollover (on selected plans).
Yes. All plans include access to the platform's core features and SMS rollover. The main differences between plans are SMS volume, contact capacity, onboarding fee (free for Premium), and custom options available on higher-tier plans.
Each plan includes a fixed number of SMS messages per month. For example, Startup includes 500 SMS per month and Premium includes 10,000 SMS per month. These limits reset every billing cycle.
Once you reach your plan's messaging limit, you can upgrade to a higher plan or use the Top Up option in your dashboard to purchase additional credits without changing your plan.
Yes. The Top Up button at the top of your dashboard lets you purchase additional sending credits at any time without needing to upgrade to a higher monthly plan. Top-up credits are valid for 1 month, giving you the flexibility to handle a busy campaign month on our SMS marketing platform without committing to a permanent plan change.
Yes. All MK TextBiz plans, including Startup, Growth, Business, Pro, Premium, and Custom, include SMS rollover benefits for unused monthly credits. If you don't use your full SMS allowance in a given month, the remaining credits carry forward to the next billing cycle instead of being lost, giving your bulk SMS campaigns more flexibility throughout the year.
Yes. We offer custom plans tailored to organizations with unique messaging requirements, higher sending volumes, or specialized workflows. Our team works directly with your business to configure SMS limits, contact capacity, and integrations that match your specific use case, whether you're running enterprise-level campaigns or need dedicated support for compliance and onboarding.
Your active plan, price, and subscription expiry date are displayed directly on your dashboard homepage in the Current Plan widget. You can click More Info for plan details or Packages to view and upgrade available plans.
The platform supports SMS and MMS — all through your connected Twilio accounts. Two-way messaging is also fully supported so you can receive and manage replies.
Quick Send lets you send a one-off SMS to up to 100 recipients by pasting numbers directly — ideal for fast, ad-hoc messages. Campaign Builder is for structured bulk campaigns where you select contact groups, apply templates, use spintax for message variation, and optionally schedule delivery.
Yes. The Send Using File option under SMS lets you upload a file of recipients directly and send a campaign without needing to create a contact group first. This is handy for one-time sends or when you're testing a new list before setting it up permanently.
Yes. The Campaign Builder includes a Schedule Campaign option where you can set a specific date, time, and frequency. The platform delivers your campaign automatically in the background.
Spintax lets you randomize message content to avoid sending identical texts. For example, writing {Hi|Hello} {John|Jane} will randomly produce 'Hi John', 'Hello Jane', and other combinations. This helps improve deliverability and personalization across large campaigns.
Yes. The platform supports both GSM 7-bit standard SMS and Unicode encoding. The message editor shows your current encoding and remaining character count in real time so you always know how your message will be sent.
Yes. Create and save message templates to speed up campaign creation and maintain consistent communication. Templates can be selected directly inside Quick Send and Campaign Builder.
Yes. The platform supports MMS messaging, allowing you to send images and other supported media alongside your text content. Adding visuals to your SMS campaigns can improve engagement, and MMS messages are sent through the same Campaign Builder and Quick Send tools you already use for standard text messages.
MK TextBiz combines SMS marketing with built-in lead management, so you can organize and follow up with your leads directly from the same platform you use to send campaigns. Leads can be grouped into targeted Contact Groups, and once you start a conversation, replies come into the Chat Box where you can track and manage every conversation from one centralized inbox.
A Sender ID is a custom name or alphanumeric label that appears as the sender of your messages instead of a phone number. You can request it from the Sending section in your dashboard. It requires approval and may involve a monthly cost depending on your plan.
You can purchase a phone number directly from your dashboard under Sending > Numbers. Each number is listed with its price, capabilities, and status. You can also request a new number from within the Campaign Builder or Quick Send screens.
Yes. You can import contacts via CSV file or add them manually. Once uploaded, you can group, filter, and segment them for targeted SMS campaigns.
You can create Contact Groups to organize your leads and contacts into targeted lists. Each group tracks the number of contacts, last import date, and creation date. Groups can be enabled or disabled, duplicated, edited, or deleted from the Contacts section.
Yes. The Contact Groups page includes an Export button so you can download your groups and contact data at any time. This is useful for backing up your lead lists, sharing data with other tools, or keeping an offline record of your contacts outside the platform.
Yes. The platform includes a dedicated Blacklist section where you can add and manage phone numbers that should no longer receive messages. This helps you keep your contact list clean and stay compliant with SMS marketing regulations by ensuring your campaigns only reach recipients who want to hear from you.
Yes. You can receive replies from your contacts and manage full conversations directly inside the platform — no need to switch to Twilio or any other tool.
The Chat Box is your two-way messaging inbox. When contacts reply to your SMS campaigns, their messages appear here. You can view recent, unread, and read conversations, search threads, and start new conversations — all from one centralized inbox.
To complete onboarding, you'll need a valid business registration (United States, United Kingdom, or Canada), business tax information such as an EIN, Tax ID, CCN, or CRN, and an official business website that clearly displays your business name, contact details, and services. These requirements are enforced by SMS carriers and compliance providers to ensure safe, approved messaging delivery.
Most plans include a one-time first-time onboarding fee of $100, which covers account setup and compliance review. Premium plan customers receive free onboarding, and Custom plans include a discovery call with personalized setup.
We support A2P 10DLC brand registration and campaign approval across Twilio, GoHighLevel, Telnyx, TextGrid, RingCentral, Plivo, Vonage, Bird.com, Microsoft, Dialpad, Grasshopper, and more.
